Calendar View: See Your Whole Agenda at a Glance 🗓️

A long list is fine for five sessions. For five parallel tracks, it isn't. Attendees scroll, lose their place, and miss that the workshop they wanted starts at the same time as the keynote. The new Calendar view puts every session on a timeline, so overlaps, gaps, and the shape of the day are clear right away.

What's new

Calendar is a new display option for Event Agenda pages, alongside List, Grid, and Live. Sessions are placed on a vertical time axis and sized by their duration. Parallel sessions sit side by side, never on top of each other.

How it works

  1. In Studio, Navigate to Event builder under Page & menu
  2. Create a new page and select schedule under sessions pages or Open an existing Event schedule page
  3. Go to the Data tab.
  4. Under Display preferences, select Calendar.
  5. Choose how columns are grouped with Group columns by:
    • Date (default)
    • Type
    • Location
    • A custom session field (single-choice fields only)
  6. Save. Attendees now see that page as a calendar.

Running several agenda pages? Each one keeps its own grouping. Group your main agenda by day and your workshops page by room.

Key behaviors

  • Day columns: Grouped by date, the calendar shows up to three days at a time. Use the arrows to move through longer events. Events of three days or fewer fill the screen, no navigation needed.
  • Room, type, or custom field columns: Attendees see one day at a time with a date picker, and use the arrows to browse the columns of that day.
  • Only what matters: Columns with no sessions are hidden. With custom field grouping, only sessions with a value for that field appear.
  • Rich session cards: Title, time, location, speakers, and a marker when the session is already in the attendee's schedule. The field used for grouping isn't repeated on the card.
  • Quick preview: Click a card to open the session preview without leaving the calendar. Attendees can Add to schedule or Open in full page, then close it and land back exactly where they were.
  • Live during the event: Today's column is highlighted, a line marks the current time, and a Now button jumps straight back to it.
  • Past sessions fade out: Sessions that already ended appear in a muted color, and remain clickable.
  • Your brand, automatically: The calendar uses your event theme color. Change the theme in Studio and the calendar follows.
  • Mobile ready: On iOS and Android, attendees get the selected day with a date strip on top, and swipe to switch columns.

Search and filters are next on the list for the Calendar view:

  • Keyword search to find sessions by title, right above the calendar.
  • Filters by Type, Location, and Topics, using the Available filters you already set up for your Sessions page. Nothing to configure twice.
  • Time zone and time format options, so attendees can switch between event and local time, and 12h or 24h.
  • Mobile filter sheet showing how many sessions match before applying.

Why organizers will love it

Multi-track conferences, trade show content programs, hybrid events: the more parallel content you run, the harder it is to show in a list. Calendar view makes your session management visible to attendees. They spot conflicts, find open slots between meetings, and build a better schedule. Fuller rooms for you, less "wait, that was at 2pm?" for them.

💡 Pro tip: Running a multi-room event? Group by Location. Attendees get a room-by-room grid, just like the printed timetable at the venue door.

💡 Pro tip: Use a single-choice custom field like "Track" or "Level" to group columns. It's the fastest way to show your program structure without building separate agenda pages.
