Create an event by duplicating a previous one

We are always working to make it easy to create events on our platform. Today, we’re happy to announce that you now have the option of duplicating an existing event in a community. This is very helpful to create event series or recurring events.

Duplicating the event will carry over:

  • The general information of the event
  • The branding of the event
  • Personalization of the homepage buttons (content display)

Export Session's live discussion messages and questions

Report Overview

We’re delighted to share that now organizers can export the discussions that took place during virtual sessions , on the Swapcard desktop or mobile app. Organizers can easily follow-up with questions or comments raised by their audience so that they do not miss a lead.

The report contains key information to help organizers reach out to their audience:
1. Session Summary tab - consisting of the “session data” and “metrics” fields
2. Session discussion | questions tab - consisting of “session data,” “message,” “sender,” “person” and "exhibitor" fields.

How to access the report?

This step is easy! The new report can be found in the reporting section of the Studio Analytics, together with all of the other reports which are available already. Simply select “Session's live discussion messages and questions”.

You will be prompted to select the required time-range, as well as the Specific Session (where you will need to search and select the session of interest) and follow the Export steps.

💔 Marking proposed recommendations as irrelevant

Swapcard provides powerful networking tools that empower organizers to create compelling events and attract large audiences! We just released a new feature to make networking with Swapcard even more personalized.

The AI-powered matchmaking algorithm determines top matches based on attendees’ interests (provided during the registration process), as well as their behavior in the event.

Attendees now have the ability to mark some AI matches as irrelevant. This helps us provide better matches, making the event experience even better.

To do this, attendees can simply click the ‘x’ in the top right corner of the presented matches. After this action, the marked profile will not be recommended anymore, the system will learn and adjust the recommendations.

There is more to come!

Soon, attendees will have the ability mark sessions, exhibitors or products as irrelevant, in order to further improve their experience.

Creating and displaying exhibitor content within communities

We’re one step closer to our full Community rollout!

You can now create and display exhibitor content on the web platform at the community level.  This is especially helpful if you have the same exhibitors participating across multiple events or you’d like to feature a particular exhibitor in your community so that they can be visible to prospective clients year-round.

This is what the exhibitors’ content will look like in the web event app:

Manage News feed channels permissions

Organizers now have full control on accessibility of newsfeed channels. Remember, newsfeed is a discussion forum for attendees, exhibitor and organizers. The discussions can be organized per channel to make topics easier to find. With this launch, organizers can decide which people group can view, post or comment in which channel.

When organizers create a news feed channel on studio,  they can set access per group for the following activities:

  • View: Allow a group to access the feed channel
  • Post: Allow a group to post the feed channel
  • Comment: Allow a group to comment a post on the feed channel
  • React: Allow a group to react to a post on the feed channel
  • Moderate: Allow a group to delete anyone posts or comments on the feed channel

For the groups which were allow to moderate the news feed channel, they will be able to delete any post or comment posted on the channel by clicking the 3 dots.

Sort people using any custom field

Previously, to sort people in a people list in the event app, the only fields available were:

  • Type
  • Most Complete Profiles
  • Name
  • Registration Date

“Type” was the only custom field that you could use to filter people using this view.

🎉 🎉 You can now sort people using any existing single-choice custom field! People can be divided by the custom field values, and values will be sorted in the event app as they are sorted in the studio.

Item views and bookmarks report

Swapcard has developed a new report for organizers called “Item views and bookmarks” which can easily be exported from the Analytics Dashboard. This helps organizers understand, for example, which items are popular (products, services) with attendees and which attendees were most interested in their offerings.

               Export Detailed Statistics

Organizers can select the timeframe, as well as the content of the report. For example, they can select to view “All items”, “A specific item” or “Items not linked to an exhibitor” within a specified date range.

The export contains the following information:
1. Product Summary tab - consisting of the “product” and “metrics” fields
2. Products Viewed | Bookmarked tab - consisting of “person,” “exhibitor,” “product,” and “metrics” fields.
3. Notes tab

New organization onboarding experience

As part of the technical redesign of the Login/Signup in the studio, we have also reviewed the entire organizational onboarding process.

When you create a new account, the onboarding process is now done in 3 steps:

  • The creation of the organization
  • The creation of the community
  • The creation of the event

Swapcard's RTMP Support and Player 🍿

We’re excited to launch Swapcard's native live streaming, a feature that will make it easier for organizers to broadcast higher quality, professional-looking live streams. Swapcard Stream provides organizers more flexibility as they can now directly connect web conferencing tools like Zoom or Microsoft Teams to Swapcard. Swapcard Stream also provides powerful data to give organizers key insights to improve audience engagement.

All this is possible thanks to RTMP technology.

RTMP stands for “Real-Time Messaging Protocol.” It is part of the technology that makes live streaming possible. It is capable of low-latency streaming, which is a major advantage for broadcasters and event organizers streaming big events in real-time.

Before this launch, all videos linked to sessions in Swapcard were embedded through a 3rd party player (Youtube or Vimeo) in the Swapcard app.  With this launch, we no longer depend on these 3rd party players. Instead, we are providing organizers the ability to stream with lower latency.

This solution will improve the overall video quality and provide insightful information, data, and analytics on the viewing behavior of attendees. Additionally, set-up is now simpler: video editing software (Restream or OBS, for example) or web conferencing tools (Zoom or Microsoft Teams) can be connected directly to Swapcard.
