Quick links to Content edition: Event App ➡️ Studio

 In our continuous efforts to enhance user experience and streamline content management workflows, we are excited to announce the latest update to our platform. This release focuses on improving the editing experience from the event app, making it easier and more intuitive for organizers to manage content. Here's a breakdown of what's new.

How it works?

Editing has never been easier. By clicking the "Edit" button in the event app just below the event name in the top bar, organizers are now easily redirected to the appropriate page in the Studio.


New quick links available:

  • "Edit people" on a people profile view => redirects to the edition of the person in Studio
  • "Edit exhibitor" on an exhibitor profile view => redirects to the edition of the exhibitor in Studio
  • "Edit session" on a session details view => redirects to the edition of the session in Studio
  • "Edit item" on an item details view => redirects to the edition of the exhibitor in Studio
  • "Edit page" on a page (list) view => redirects to the edition of the page in Studio.

For others views, it redirects by default to Event builder => General informations as before.

Exhibitors Members Roles

Effective event organization relies on collaboration, and the latest update emphasizes this. Two new roles for exhibitor members have been introduced: Admin and Limited Access, enabling precise control over access levels. This improvement is designed to streamline communication, ensuring a seamless and efficient collaboration and coordination process. This feature is available as a paid add-on.

SwapAccess Checkpoints

Elevate the in-person attendee experience with the recently introduced SwapAccess Checkpoints! Organizers can now seamlessly scan attendees at different event locations, including entrances and exhibit halls, to improve attendee tracking and access control. Enjoy the convenience of offline functionality as Checkpoints work without an internet connection, syncing data once reconnected.

Community Checklist

Don’t miss out on any detail when setting up a community with the latest “Studio Community Checklist”. This guide is made to elevate the setup process, assisting organizers in customizing the event space and making it truly distinctive.

Filters, Order and Search Preferences

A significant update is here to enhance convenience. Now, while setting up filters and order in Content tables, the system retains your preferences even as you navigate across different pages. This means you won't need to repeat your steps, as the platform remembers your search, filter, and sorting choices, saving time and ensuring a smoother planning process.

Advanced Editor for Exhibitor Center Home Message

We are thrilled to announce a significant update to our WYSIWYG editor in the Studio. Our latest release focuses on empowering our organizers with even more flexibility and creative control over their exhibitor home message editor.

What's new?

  • Image Integration: You can now easily insert images into your messages. This update allows you to visually enhance your communication, making it more engaging and informative.
  • Iframe Video Embedding: Alongside images, the editor now supports iframe video embedding. This means you can directly integrate videos from platforms like YouTube and Vimeo into your messages, providing a richer, more dynamic user experience.

How it works:

  1. Inserting Images: Simply click on the 'Insert Image' icon in the editor, choose your image, and it will be embedded in your message.
  2. Embedding Videos: Click on the 'Insert Video' icon, paste the iframe code from your preferred video hosting platform, and the video will appear in your message.

Suggested and pre-filled custom fields ⚡️

This new feature is designed to significantly ease the workload of event organizers by providing ready-to-use custom fields that can be seamlessly integrated into their event setup process.

Pre-filled custom fields now available:

“Country” (single choice) and "Countries" (multiple choices)

  • Automatically includes a comprehensive list of countries.
  • Eliminates the need for manual entry, ensuring accuracy and saving time.
  • Available for People and Exhibitors

"Industry Sectors" (single choice)

  • Offers a detailed list of various industry sectors.
  • Customizable to suit specific event themes or focus areas.
  • Available for People and Exhibitors

"How Did You Hear About Us?" (single choice)

  • Pre-designed to gather insights on event marketing effectiveness.
  • Includes commonly used options and allows for custom additions.
  • Available for People only

Plus, values are automatically translated according to the event languages enabled! The supported languages for this feature are: en, fr, de, es, it, pt, zh, and ja.

  • Time-Saving: Drastically reduces the time spent on creating and populating custom fields and their translations, especially when building your event registration form.
  • Consistency: Ensures uniformity and professionalism across events.
  • User-Friendly: Simple to add to any event with just a few clicks.
  • Customizable: While pre-filled, these fields can be easily tailored to fit the unique needs of each event.


How It Works

  1. Access to People or Exhibitors Settings in Studio
  2. Click on "Create custom field"
  3. Pick the one you need in the Format dropdown under "Suggested and pre-filled custom field" section

New Map Provider: ExpoFP

We are excited to announce our new map provider, Expo FP, available upon request for all our organizers. This new provider offers an alternative to our current provider Mapspeople and is easy to set up.

Our goal with the Swapcard platform is to provide the best user experience possible. That means offering features and services that help you get the most out of your event. With this in mind, we are proud to offer Expo FP as new map provider.

Expo FP allows you to view your event space in 3D and offers powerful features for setting up and customizing your event. It's easy to get started with Expo FP and adding it to your Swapcard event only takes a few minutes. Expo FP interactive floor plans with GPS Positioning and Wayfinding make it easy for attendees to find the booths and events at the trade show and spend their time effectively.

No more repeating your steps: Filters, Order and Search are saved

We've made a fantastic update to our Studio to make your life easier. Now, when you're setting up filters and order in Content tables - like lists of people, sessions, exhibitors, and items - our system remembers your choices, even when you move around to different pages.

What Does This Mean for You?

  • No More Repeating Your Steps: When you search for something, filter or sort your lists a certain way, our Studio will remember it. So, if you leave a page and come back, everything will be just as you left it.
  • Keep Your Custom Lists: If you organize a list in a specific order, our Studio will keep it that way until you reset it to the default view by just clicking on Clear search & filter.

This update will save you time and avoid the frustration of repeating tasks. It's all about making your planning process smoother and simpler ⚡️

Unique company field in your Main Information profile section

We’re delighted to announce a new update to the Event App! We’re implementing a unique Company field in order to remove confusion and make the platform easier to use (before you had 2 different fields for your company name)

The change will make the Swapcard experience more streamlined and user-friendly.

Now, you can enter your company name into the main information section, so you can still provide other users with your professional information.

How to add a company to my profile? 

Just go to My Profile > Edit. Here you can update your Main Information section, and add a company to your profile!

Improved Offline Mode Scans

We have improved the messaging and introduced new buttons for smoother interaction while in offline mode for lead scanning.

Your scans are securely stored locally on your device when you're in Offline Mode. And to keep you in the loop, we've enhanced the messages you receive. So, even without a connection, you can trust that your scans are in safe hands. Just remember to sync them once you're back online.

To streamline your scanning process, we've added two new buttons:

  • Open to Qualify: Effortlessly qualify a scan for further action.
  • See My Pending Scans: Directly access your offline scans screen with a single click, bypassing the contacts list for quicker access.

Whether you hit the "Back" button, switch to a different QR code scan, or press any other buttons after scanning a badge in Offline Mode, rest assured that your scan is securely saved, on both iOS and Android.

With these enhancements, we aim to provide you with an even more reliable and user-friendly scanning experience. Trust that your scans are always secure, even in challenging connectivity situations.

Introducing SwapAccess Checkpoints

Announcing the latest evolution of SwapAccess with Checkpoints!

  • Elevate Attendee Experience: Checkpoints allow you to seamlessly scan attendees at various locations.
  • Versatile Use: Whether it's entrances, exhibit halls, or any location of your choice, Checkpoints have got you covered.
  • Building on Success: Enjoy all the features SwapAccess already provides

Monitor who goes in and out with attendee tracking or utilize access control to limit your attendees based on their group. Just like session scanning, Checkpoints will work offline and sync all of the scan data whenever an Internet connection is available.


Additionally, we are introducing a dedicated SwapAccess menu item, under Event builder, to access all of the scanning data and functionality. Here you will be able to see only the sessions with SwapAccess scanning enabled as well as all the Checkpoints. You will also be able to see the number of people scanned in and out of each.
