Duplicate Tickets in Studio

Creating tickets with similar configurations is now faster and easier.

Organizers can now duplicate existing tickets in Studio, automatically copying all ticket settings into a new draft. This reduces manual setup time and helps streamline the creation of similar ticket types across events.

How it works

  1. Go to Studio > Tickets
  2. Select an existing ticket
  3. Click Duplicate
  4. A new ticket is created with all settings pre-filled from the original
  5. Update the ticket name and any other required fields
  6. Modify pricing, dates, visibility, quantities, or other settings as needed
  7. Save the new ticket

What gets duplicated?

All configurable ticket settings are copied from the original ticket, including:

  • Price
  • Quantity limits
  • Sales dates
  • Visibility settings
  • Registration settings
  • Other ticket configurations

Validation before saving

To prevent conflicts, required fields and validations are enforced before saving. If any unique or mandatory information needs to be updated, validation messages will guide you through the changes needed.

The original ticket remains unchanged throughout the duplication process.

Duplicate Promo Codes in Studio

Creating multiple promo codes with similar settings just got faster.

Organizers can now duplicate existing promo codes in Studio, automatically copying all configuration settings into a new promo code. This removes the need to recreate promo codes manually and helps save time when setting up similar offers.

How it works

  1. Go to Studio > Promo Codes
  2. Select an existing promo code
  3. Click Duplicate
  4. A new promo code is created with all settings pre-filled from the original
  5. Update the Code Name to a unique value
  6. Modify any additional settings if needed and save

What’s included in the duplication?

All configurable fields from the original promo code are copied to the new one, allowing you to adjust only what’s needed.

Important note

To prevent duplicates, the copied promo code must have a unique Code Name before it can be saved. Validation will prevent saving until a unique value is provided.
The original promo code remains unchanged throughout the process.

Multi-Select Conditional Logic for Registration Forms

We’ve enhanced the flexibility of registration forms with multi-select conditional logic for single-choice fields.

You can now trigger follow-up questions based on multiple answer options, making your forms more dynamic, scalable, and tailored to attendee responses.

You can now:

  • Select multiple answer options when defining a conditional logic rule
  • Trigger a follow-up question if any selected answer is chosen
  • Reuse the same field across multiple logic rules

This removes the previous limitation of one condition per answer and allows you to build smarter, more efficient form logic.

How It Works

For Event Organizers (Studio)

When creating or editing conditional logic in Studio → Registration Form:

  • If your condition is based on a single-choice field, you can now select multiple answers
  • The rule will trigger if any of the selected options are chosen
  • The same field can be reused across multiple rules without restriction

Example:
To show a follow-up question when an attendee selects “Vegetarian” or “Vegan”:

  • Create one rule
  • Select both options
  • The question appears if either is selected

Attendee Experience

  • The form dynamically adapts based on selections
  • If an answer matches any configured condition, the relevant follow-up question appears
  • If not, the question remains hidden

This ensures a more relevant and streamlined registration experience.

Key Benefits

  • More flexible logic with multi-option triggers
  • Faster setup with fewer rules to manage
  • Cleaner forms tailored to attendee responses
  • Better data collection through targeted questions

Multi-select conditional logic gives you greater control over your registration forms, helping you collect the right information while keeping the experience simple for attendees.

Promo Code Support on Payment Links

We’re pleased to release an improvement to the organizer-sent payment link flow:
Attendees can now apply a promo code directly when paying through a payment link.

Why it matters

  • Smoother attendee experience: Users no longer need to restart registration just to use a promo code.
  • More flexibility for organizers: Discounts can still be applied even when the organizer initiates the process.

📌 How it works

  1. Organizer sends the payment link
  2. User opens the link and enters their promo code
  3. Price updates automatically if the code is valid
  4. User completes payment normally

  • Add or edit a ticket description
  • Use Rich Text formatting
  • Save your ticket -> your formatting will be preserved and rendered

Expected Outcome

  • More engaging and structured ticket descriptions
  • Improved attendee understanding of ticket benefits

Customizable Registration Redirect for In-App Registration

Organizers can now control where guests are redirected to purchase tickets when using In-App Registration. This new feature allows you to choose between the default Swapcard registration page or an external registration URL, giving greater flexibility.

What This Feature Allows You to Do

Select the Swapcard registration URL or an external registration URL for guest-mode redirection.

  • Swapcard URL – Users will be redirected to the default Swapcard registration page.
  • External URL – Users will be redirected to a custom registration link that you provide.

If you select External, a field will appear where you can enter your custom URL.

Once a registration URL is selected:

  • You can copy the link using the copy icon.
  • You can open or access the link directly using the quick-access icon.

When an external URL is configured, guests browsing the event will be redirected to this external URL instead of the default Swapcard URL.

Control How the Promo Code Field Appears on the In-App Registration Form

Organizers can now choose how the Promo Code field is displayed on the registration form. This setting allows you to control how visible the field is for attendees when they register for your event.

Depending on the option you select in Studio, the promo code field will appear differently to end users during the registration process.

You can choose between two display options:

1. Standard

With the Standard option, the promo code field is hidden by default on the registration form.

Attendees will see a link prompting them to enter a promo code. When they click the link, the field expands and allows them to enter their code.

2. Prominent

With the Prominent option, the promo code field is visible and expanded by default on the registration form.

Attendees can immediately enter their promo code without needing to click any additional link.

The added flexibility allows you to adapt the registration experience based on how frequently promo codes are used for your event.

Analytics for Money Collected with In-App Registration

Get a clear view of your ticket revenue

We’re introducing Analytics for Money Collected, a new set of financial metrics designed to give organizers a precise and actionable overview of revenue generated from paid tickets.

🔎 Why this matters

Until now, understanding how much cash was actually collected and how much was still pending or overpaid often required manual exports or external reconciliation.

With these new analytics:

  • You instantly see how much money your event has generated
  • You gain better visibility for finance, accounting, and reporting

🎟️ Paid Tickets Purchased

Displays the total number of paid tickets purchased.

This metric reflects ticket volume only and excludes free registrations.

💵 Total Collected

Shows the actual cash collected from paid ticket sales.

Formula:
Total Collected = Total Charges – Total Refunds

This represents the net revenue received after refunds.

⏳ Total Balance Due

Displays the total monetary amount still due from registrations that are in a Balance Due status.

  • This is a sum of unpaid amounts, not a count of registrations
  • Optionally shows the number of registrations associated with this amount

Use this metric to quickly identify outstanding payments and follow up if needed.

Customizable Confirmation Page of In-App Registration

The Customizable Confirmation Page helps you own the narrative the moment an attendee finishes their registration. Instead of a generic "thank you" message, you can now transform the final step of the registration flow into a strategic touchpoint that guides users toward their next steps. 🏁

Drive Action Beyond the "Sign Up"

This feature ensures your attendees aren't left wondering "what now?" You can tailor the final screen to match your event’s specific goals, whether you're focusing on logistics, networking, or boosting sponsor ROI.

How you can use it to level up your event:

  • Streamline Logistics: Provide an immediate link to your preferred hotel booking system or travel partner to increase accommodation pick-up. 🏨
  • Boost App Adoption: Insert a direct call-to-action (CTA) for attendees to download the mobile app and start networking. 📱
  • Maximize Engagement: Link directly to session pre-registration, speaker bios, or a "Getting Started" video guide. 🎥
  • Promote Sponsors: Use the space to highlight a "Welcome Sponsor" or direct users to a virtual exhibition floor. 💰

What’s New?

  • Rich Text Control: Use the editor to format instructions, add hyperlinks, and style the message to fit your brand voice.
  • Dynamic Redirects: Guide users exactly where they need to go, whether that’s an external URL or a specific page within the Swapcard platform.
  • Real-time Updates: Change the confirmation message as the event approaches (e.g., from "Book your hotel" to "Check out the floor plan").

Stop letting the registration finish line be a dead end. Turn it into the first step of a great event experience!

Simplify Event Tax Management with Automated Stripe Tax

Managing tax collection for event registrations can be complex — but it doesn’t have to be. With Swapcard Studio, you can now seamlessly enable Stripe Tax to automate tax calculations during your event registration and payment process.

How It Works

  • Stripe calculates taxes automatically at checkout, based on the attendee’s location and tax details.
  • The correct tax amount appears dynamically on the order summary and invoice.

Setup in Three Steps

1. Check Stripe Tax Status

  • When you connect Stripe, Swapcard checks if Stripe Tax is enabled. In case the set up is not complete in the Stripe dashboard, a message is displayed:

“Stripe Tax is not yet configured on your account. Please complete the setup in Stripe to enable automated tax calculation.”

Go to your Stripe dashboard → Tax Settings to set it up.
Please follow the step 1 and 4 from Stripe documentation : https://docs.stripe.com/tax/set-up?dashboard-or-api=api&locale=en-GB

2. Choose Your Tax Mode
In Studio > Registration > Payment Settings, select:

Automatic Tax to allow Stripe to calculate taxes automatically at checkout based on the users billing information.
Manual Tax can still be used, which is based on a single tax percentage.

3. Collect Required Info at Checkout
To calculate taxes automatically correctly, Stripe needs:

  • Billing Address (country, postal code, state, etc.) — collected using Stripe Elements.
  • Tax Type & Tax ID — optional, but helps apply exemptions.

Users can see an Estimated Tax amount when completing the registration form, based on the registrants IP address. If attendees change their billing information which is different from the logged in IP, taxes recalculate instantly.

Get started by automating your tax calculation, save time and stay compliant, all with Automatic Tax in Swapcard Studio.
