Redesign of Custom Field Editor
Custom fields are important additional fields that allow you to enhance sessions, items, exhibitors, or people profiles. Once created, you can edit the custom fields by adding filters and managing the visibility.
We are thrilled to introduce a revamped custom field editor in Studio. The editor now features two tabs: General and Properties.
In the General Tab, you can edit the following details:
Label: Clearly describe the field's purpose to make it easier for attendees to understand and complete.
Placeholder: Provide a description of what should be entered in the field.
Maximum number of choices: Specify the maximum selections allowed.
- Section: Organize and structure data by assigning custom fields to appropriate sections.
- Values: Edit the options available for single and multiple-choice custom fields.
The Properties Tab allows you to edit the following details:
- Field visibility: Control whether the field is displayed at the Event or Community level.
- Field edition: Decide if attendees can edit this field in their profiles.
- Searchable field: Enable this option to include the field's values in search results.
- Used for recommendation: Allow the recommendation engine to use this field for knowledge or interest-based suggestions.
Custom fields are an essential tool for event organizers, enabling a high level of personalization and efficiency in handling attendee information. By using custom fields, participants can be categorized within the event app, facilitating connections between attendees with similar interests or expertise. This improvement simplifies the management of custom fields, making them more useful and relevant for organizers.
In addition to the enhancements to the Custom Field Editor, we have incorporated the Label and Placeholder fields into the Swapcard registration form. Organizers can now edit these fields directly from the form sidebar, making the process more time-efficient and streamlined.
