Enhanced SwapAccess Scanning Control: Tailoring Modes to Your Needs
We've heard your feedback and are happy to announce the SwapAccess scanning options of "Attended" and "Unattended" modes are expanded to allow more fine-tuned control. Those two modes can be broken down into three options.
- Require an exit code
- Allow undo scan
- Allow force entry
By independently adjusting these three options, users now have access to a total of nine distinct operational modes. To illustrate, consider a scenario where the SwapAccess device is being actively monitored by an attendant. In this case, both undo scan and force entry options might be enabled. However, if the device is positioned on a stand and the attendant occasionally steps away, the exit code requirement can be activated to ensure security during such absences.
Furthermore, configuring these options is made seamless during the initial Access Code setup in Studio. Notably, the designated access code settings will only be applied during the device's first login. This approach ensures that each device can be tailored to function independently, maintaining the current level of individualized configuration that users are accustomed to.
Note that versions of SwapAccess prior to the release of the fine-tuned options (earlier than v 1.17) will continue to use device-specific "Attended" and "Unattended" modes regardless of the Access Code settings.
